At least, that’s how Tye Dillinger views the playing field of NXT, the place where the calculating ring veteran plies his well-honed trade. Endlessly confident, the silky-smooth Dillinger thinks nothing of stopping a bout mid-match to grade his own performance. (Hint: It’s always 10 out of 10.) Armed with an encyclopedic knowledge of holds and the discipline needed to apply them flawlessly, it’s hard to argue that Dillinger is anything less than perfect.

We take a look at Tye Dillinger’s debut on the Smackdown roster last week against Curt Hawkins. Tye is congratulated on his Smackdown debut and he says he has been working on this for fifteen years. He says he has some unfinished business on NXT. He says he talked to William Regal and next week, he gets to finish things with Eric Young. Tye says if Eric thinks he will work the numbers game with Sanity, it will be tough because this match will be inside a steel cage.

Tye Dillinger & Ruby Riot & Roderick Strong & Kassius Ohno vs. Sanity

Sanity is out first with Eric Young, Nikki Cross, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe. The announcers talk about how No Way Jose has not been cleared due to the Axxess attack from Sanity. Tye Dillinger is out first for his team. Ruby Riot is out next. They wait before heading to the ring. The music hits and out comes their partner, found at the last minute – Kassius Ohno. The babyfaces hit the ring and both teams brawl. Ohno sends Dain out. Things calm down and we get the bell as Cross and Ruby go at it to start. Nikki unloads but Ruby turns it around. Wolfe tags in. Ruby looks at him and tags in Ohno. Wolfe dances around until Ohno floors Wolfe with an elbow. Ohno goes at it with Wolfe and drops him with a 2 count. Ohno works Wolfe’s arm and goes for another pin attempt. Wolfe turns it around after a distraction. Young tags in and they double team Ohno. Wolfe ends up coming back in but he misses an elbow. Strong tags in and unloads on Wolfe. Strong knocks Young off the apron and goes back to work on Wolfe. Dain also gets knocked off. Strong slams Wolfe and then Young with a backbreaker. Strong keeps control of Young and Wolfe. Dain also eats a knee. The numbers catch up as Wolfe turns Strong inside out.

Dain is in next. He keeps control of Strong before EY tags back in. Young comes off the second rope and covers for a 2 count. Wolfe tags back in for a bit of double teaming. Sanity keeps control until Tye comes in and decks EY. Fans chant for Tye. EY goes back to work on Strong and then knocks Tye off the apron. Strong tries to fight back but Young cuts him off. Young knocks Ohno off the apron next. Strong looks to make a comeback with forearms but EY drives him back into the corner. Dillinger finally gets the hot tag and unloads on Sanity. Tye clears the ring and drops Wolfe with a big DDT as fans pop. Ruby comes in and stops Nikki from nailing Dillinger. Tye goes to the top for a crossbody on Wolfe, then a dive to the floor on EY. Dain comes from behind and nails Tye as the crowd boos. Strong nails them but Wolfe clubs him from behind. Ohno runs the ropes but lands on his feet as Wolfe moves. Ohno drops Wolfe on the floor. Dain floors Ohno on the floor. Ruby runs the ropes for a dive but Nikki stops her. Ruby takes Nikki down and unloads on her. They tumble to the floor together. Tye and EY re-enter the ring. Tye mounts EY in the corner as fans count to 10 with him. Tye drops EY again and superkicks Dain for a 2 count. Ohno takes Wolfe out and hits him with the big elbow. Young immediately takes Ohno out. EY goes for a finisher on Dillinger but Strong hits a Sick Kick. Strong faces off with Dain now. Fans chant for Strong. Nikki jumps on Strong’s back. Ruby jumps on Dain’s back. Nikki pulls Ruby off Dain but Ruby sends Nikki to the floor. EY takes out Strong on the floor. Nikki dropkicks Ruby on the floor. Dain turns around to Tye scooping him but Wolfe makes the save, stopping the Tye Breaker. Dain scoops Tye and plants him in the middle of the ring for the pin.

Winner: Sanity

No Way Jose, Roderick Strong, and Tye Dillinger are asked about their match. Strong says the numbers game is no longer in Sanity’s favor. Tye says that they will find out that you don’t play a numbers game with the Perfect 10.

Tye Dillinger & Roderick Strong & No Way Jose vs. Sanity

They brawl outside the ring before the bell rings. Dain is sent into the ring and Strong with forearms. Dain runs Strong into the corner and connects with shoulders. Wolfe tags in and he punches Strong. Wolfe with European uppercuts but Strong with a chop. Dillinger tags in and he punches Wolfe and connects with a knee drop. Jose tags in and he slams Wolfe and gets a near fall. Jose sends Wolfe into the turnbuckles and Strong tags back in. Strong with a knee and back breaker. Strong punches Wolfe. Dillinger tags in and he kicks Wolfe and stomps on the ankle. Dillinger chops Wolfe and Strong tags in and he connects with a forearm and he shows how to chop. Wolfe with a punch and European uppercut. Strong leaps over Wolfe and he hits a drop kick on Wolfe and then Dain on the apron. Strong with a corkscrew pescado onto Wolfe and Young.

We are back and Jose with an Irish whip and side slam to Wolfe for a near fall. Young tags in and he punches Jose in the back. Young sends Jose into the turnbuckles. Young runs into an elbow and Jose with a clothesline. Dillinger tags in and Young tags Wolfe back in. Dillinger sends Wolfe to the mat and he looks at Young. Jose tags back in and he stomps on the arm. Jose with punches in the corner. Jose with an Irish whip but he is sent to the apron. Jose with a punch to Wolfe and then he knocks Young off the apron. Cross grabs the leg and Wolfe knocks Jose off the apron.

Dain tags in and he sends Jose back into the ring. Dain kicks Jose and the referee has to pull Dain off Jose. Dain with a forearm to the back followed by an elbow drop to the chest. Dain with a leaping elbow drop. Wolfe tags in and Dain with a shoulder and Wolfe with a running European uppercut. Wolfe gets a near fall. Wolfe with a rear chin lock but Jose gets to his feet for a moment. Jose with a jawbreaker and then both men go for clotheslines and both men go down. Young tags in and he knocks Dillinger off the apron. Jose with a back body drop and Strong tags in. Strong with a clothesline and punches. Strong wtih a jumping knee to knock Dain off the apron. Strong with a back breaker to Young and then Wolfe. Strong with a running knee and then he hits a belly-to-belly gourdbuster but Dain breaks it up.

Dillinger kicks Dain but Wolfe stops Dillinger. Jose goes after Wolfe and then the referee calls for the bell.

Winners: No Contest

After the match, Jose spears Wolfe through the ropes. Dain goes after Jose. Dillinger kicks Young in the corner and then he pulls down the knee pad. Nikki Cross attacks Dillinger and chokes him. Ruby Riot makes her way to the ring and she spears Nikki and hits a flapjack and an enzuigiri. Dillinger whips Young over the top rope to the floor. Jose with a pop up punch and clothesline to Wolfe. Dain pushes Jose and Dillinger away. Dillinger and Jose with punches and strong with a running knee into the corner. Jose with a clothesline and Dillinger super kicks Dain to the floor.

After Nikki Cross defeated Macey Estrella, Tye Dillinger and No Way Jose atack Dain and Wolfe. Nikki rakes Dillinger’s eyes and Dain with a cross body. Wolfe with a German suplex to Jose. Young with a wheelbarrow neck breaker on Jose and then he kicks Dillinger. Eric tells Dillinger their blood is on his hands.

A match between Tye Dillinger and Eric Young is scheduled next. Young sends the members of Sanity to the back before he makes his way to the ring so it will be one on one. Dillinger is next out. Before the match starts, Roderick Strong is dragged into the entrance after being attacked by the members of Sanity. Tye leaves the ring to check on Strong and Sanity enters the ring to join Young. No Way Jose comes out to check on Strong. Young tells Dillinger that he did that. Dillinger and Jose come to the ring and they fight with Dain, Wofle, and Young. Nikki Cross watches from the turnbuckles while Young and Wolfe work over Dillinger and Dain works over Jose. Young kicks Dillinger while Wolfe and Dain hit a power slam and flying boot on Jose. Young with a wheelbarrow into a neck breaker.

We see Tye Dillinger at the Performance Center. He is asked about Eric Young and Sanity. Tye says Sanity and Eric Young have an agenda and he is the priority. He says there has been a number’s game in the past, but now he has No Way Jose and Roderick Strong to help him. They were not going to stand by and have these psychopathic bullies run through NXT. Tye says he has an agenda and it does not involve Sanity.

Tye Dillinger is in the back and he is asked about Eric Young’s statements earlier in the night. Tye says he heard Eric. He lost at Takeover and it was a numbers game. He will not join Sanity. Tye starts to talk about the Royal Rumble, but Sanity attacks and they bring Tye into the arena and ringside area. Dillinger is thrown into the ring and he tries to fight off Wolfe and Young but Dain hits a running cross body to stop Tye. Roderick Strong and No Way Jose make their way to the ring and they take care of Young and Wolfe. Strong with a jumping knee to Dain followed by a clothesline from Jose and a super kick from Dillinger to send Dain to the floor.

Tye Dillinger & Roderick Strong & No Way Jose vs. Sanity

The match is joined in progress and Dillinger with a series of back elbows and Sanity discusses strategy on the floor. The referee starts his count and Dillinger brings Wolfe into teh ring. Jose tags in and he applies a wrist lock. Wolfe grabs Jose by the beard and then Jose kicks Wolfe and hits an arm drag and hip toss. Jose with a flap jack and he gets a near fall. Wolfe with a head butt and he tags in Young. Eric with a forearm to the back and he tries to send Jose into the corner but Jose blocks it and he chops Young. Jose with an Irish whip and back body drop for a near fall.

Strong tags in and he kicks Young and chops him. Strong is run into the corner and Wolfe tags in and he punches Strong and then kicks Roderick. Strong with a drop kick and he gets a near fall. Dillinger tags in and he chops Wolfe. Dillinger goes to the corner and he punches Wolfe. Young tries to interfere and Dillinger stops him but Wolfe with a boot and Dain tags in and kicks Dillinger and connects with a head butt.

Dain with crossfaces to Dillinger. Wolfe tags in and they send Dillinger into the corner. Dain with a shoulder into the corner and Wolfe adds more damage and gets a near fall. Dillinger with a belly-to-back suplex and both men are down. Strong tags in and he kicks Dain off the apron and hits a clothesline on Wolfe. Strong with kicks to Wolfe but Wolfe escapes a suplex. Strong wtih a back breaker but Young tags in. Strong with a drop kick and a running knee into the corner. Strong with a running gourdbuster. Dain trips Strong and then Dillinger hits the Tye Breaker on Young. Cross comes off the turnbuckles and Dillinger catches her but Cross with a rana to send them to the floor.

Dain with a running body block and Young gets the three count.

We take a look at highlights from Eric Young vs. Tye Dillinger from Takeover. Eric Young says choices. You made your choice Dillinger and he proved you made the wrong one. They said they would take and they meant it. We hear from Tye Dillinger about being in the Royal Rumble. He says this was his favorite pay per view because you see all of the stars in the match. He is honored to have his name listed among the others in the history of the Royal Rumble. Tye says that was a night you dream of. This was fifteen years in the making. Tye says he has had his doubts. Last night he came up short, but then the next night he is number ten in the Royal Rumble. It has not sunken in that he was in the Royal Rumble, but he is in the history books.

Tye Dillinger vs. Eric Young w/Killian Dain & Alexander Wolfe

Young talks some trash as we get the bell. He tosses a SAnitY jacket at Dillinger’s feet and offers him a spot. Dillinger throws the jacket at Young and decks him to start the match. Dillinger sends Young to the floor with a big clothesline. Young regroups with SAnitY. Dillinger goes to leave the ring but has second thoughts. Dillinger keeps control until Young tosses him to the floor. Wolfe and Dain go after him but he runs back in the ring. Dillinger fights Young into the corner with chops now. Young gets sent over the top rope to the floor. Dillinger ends up mounting Young in the corner as fans count along. Young with a rake to the eye to send Dillinger to the floor. Young distracts the referee while Dain nails a big crossbody on the floor to Dillinger. Young brings Dillinger back in the ring and goes to the top for an elbow drop to the back of the head. Dillinger rolls to the floor for a breather. Young keeps control back in the ring now. Young chokes Dillinger in the corner and covers for a 2 count after the referee warns him.

Young with a neckbreaker for a 2 count. Tye finally turns it around after dropkicking Young out of mid-air. More back and forth. Dillinger grabs Young by his beard and drops him with a headbutt. Dillinger looks for a comeback now. Dillinger with a chop. Dillinger sends Young to the apron. Young runs up to the top but Dillinger meets him and nails a superplex. Dillinger for a 2 count as SAnitY teases interference. Dillinger with kicks in the corner now. Dillinger exposes his own knee and readies for the Tye Breaker. Wolfe gets on the apron and Dillinger brings him into the ring. Wolfe takes a Breaker. Dain ends up coming in and the numbers game catches up with Tye. Dillinger counters a move and rolls Young up for 2. Dillinger nails a Tye Breaker on Young but Wolfe puts his foot on the bottom rope. Dillinger leaps out onto Dain and Wolfe. Dillinger brings Young back into the ring and goes to the top. Dillinger nails a crossbody but Young rolls through for a close 2 count. Dillinger dropkicks Kain into Wolfe with a baseball slide. Young and Dillinger tangle with Young hitting a big neckbreaker for the win.

Winner: Eric Young
